Here’s how Consignment works and why you should consign:

With so many sources for selling your items – why consign?

Richard and Donna Smith have owned and operated Consignments on Park for over 15 years. With over 11,000 consignors, they’ve worked hard to serve the area and, in turn, have earned their community’s respect.  With a faithful team, the shop is freshly staged for the buyer’s enjoyment.  Consignments on Park believes in respecting our consignor’s privacy and confidentiality.   You can have confidence in knowing your items will be carefully handled and beautifully staged with like items of quality and style.  Items are inventoried and bar coded for accuracy and efficiency. Several thousand new items are consigned each month with 95% selling within 90 days. Facebook and Instagram are regularly updated to showcase our vast and ever changing assortment of beautiful inventory.

Most major credit cards are accepted.


Below are a few helpful hints to make your consigning process more enjoyable.

*We accept most items that are stylish, in excellent (for pre-owned condition) and currently desirable for today’s decorating standards.  If you aren’t sure if we can use your item, just send a picture and description to

*We accept furniture and home décor by appointment, but we need to evaluate them first.   Please send pictures of large, heavy items, furniture pieces, mirrors and chandeliers to  Include in your email the following: age, manufacturer name, original price paid and your deadline to have the items brought in. If you have pricing “conditions” include them in your email, as well.

*For “home décor and accessories” email a group picture of your items. There isn’t a need to send individual pictures, unless it is of a specialty item (Waterford Crystal, Sterling Flatware, Tiffany & Co. Llador, ect).  Bring your items in tubs or boxes that can be easily carried from your car to the store.

*You will be paid 60% for items priced $100 or more and 50% for items priced $99 or less.

*Each contract is for 90 days. One 10% price reduction will occur on the 30th day and an additional 10% reduction occurs on the 60th day.   Unsold items originally priced $20 or more may be reclaimed after the 90th day and before the 97th day. A 24 hour notice is needed to set up an appointment to pick up unsold items that were originally priced $20 or more.  Items that are priced $20 or less may be donated to area ministries or reduced in price and entered into a ministry account.  We do not call or email to remind you of the end of your contract, so please note your schedule accordingly.


What type of items do we accept?

Consignments on Park accepts furniture and home decor that are clean, in excellent pre-owned condition and currently desirable for today’s decorating trends.  We carry name brands such as Baker, Bernhardt, Century, Henredon, Maitland Smith, Hancock & Moore, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Lladro, Waterford, Lenox and more.

We do not have a need for items that are stained or show signs of excessive wear and tear.  According to NC Law, we cannot accept mattresses or sofa beds.

To maintain our level of excellence, we do not accept items from smoker’s homes or items with smells of any kind.
